Premier Bank lauds Parliament’s role in economy

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 16  – Premier Bank CEO Osman Dualle has lauded the Kenyan Parliament for its role in shaping the nation’s economic future while advocating for ethical banking and innovative wealth management solutions.

Speaking during a Parliamentary Iftar dinner hosted at the Parliament Buildings for the first time, Dualle emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration between financial institutions and policymakers to drive economic prosperity.

“MPs play a critical role in policy, budgeting, and oversight, directly impacting the financial welfare of the nation and corporate citizens,” he noted.

He highlighted Premier Bank’s commitment to providing tailored financial solutions for Parliament, its constituencies, and stakeholders, aligning with Kenya’s long-term economic goals.

“Through strategic partnerships, we envision expanding financial inclusion and fostering innovation to support businesses and individuals alike,” Dualle said.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula commended Premier Bank for sponsoring the Iftar and reaffirmed Parliament’s willingness to engage with financial institutions.

“The National Assembly is committed to enacting legislation that promotes banking sector growth and makes investment favorable for all,” he stated.

Parliament has now institutionalized the Iftar dinner as part of its annual calendar to promote inclusivity.

The event was attended by Senate Speaker Amason Kingi, Cabinet Secretaries Aden Duale and Hassan Joho, MPs, diplomats, and parliamentary staff.
