GAICA 2025 Takes Lead In AI Revolution
6,000 participants, including 134 international speakers, 110 exhibitors, and more than 200 start-ups, are set to meet at the Global AI Congress Africa (GAICA 2025). Hosted at Novation City, Sousse, Tunisia, it will discuss the challenges of AI and showcase solutions tailored to the continent.
Organised by Novation City in partnership with TPM Events, and supported by GIZ and Tunisia’s Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, GAICA 2025 aims to be Africa’s largest event fully dedicated to AI. “Our goal is to position Tunisia as a technological hub bridging Africa and the world,” said Hichem Turki, CEO of Novation City.
As the AI arms race intensifies in the US, China, and the European Union, Africa must carve out its own path, focusing on practical and inclusive applications, including smart agriculture, digital health, sustainable cities, and inclusive fintech.
GAICA 2025 offers a structured three-day programme designed to foster collaboration across the continent:
- Keynotes and panels featuring 130+ international experts on AI applications in health, agriculture, finance, industry, governance, and
- Three thematic halls are featured: the Technology Hall (featuring major players and solution providers), the Start-up Hall (featuring innovative African start-ups), and the Business Hall (offering networking and partnerships).

- Workshops, hackathons, and masterclasses to train the next generation of African AI engineers and data
“We aim to catalyse an African AI ecosystem capable of developing homegrown solutions and competing globally,” said Anas Rachdi, Director of Innovation at Novation City. The event has already attracted leading global tech companies, including NVIDIA and Meta.
Beyond its scale, GAICA 2025 represents a strategic turning point for the continent. Organisers aim to transform the congress into a springboard for African start-ups. By combining vision, innovation, and investment opportunities, GAICA 2025 aspires to firmly place Africa on the global AI map, with Tunisia serving as a strategic hub and gateway to the continent.
