Tony Mutero Joins Stima DT Sacco As ICT & Operations Chief

Stima Sacco has appointed Tony Mutero as its new Chief Manager, ICT & Operations, marking a strategic move as the cooperative financial institution deepens its investment in digital transformation and operational excellence.

Mutero brings over two decades of experience in ICT leadership, with a strong track record in digital transformation, IT governance, cybersecurity management, and financial inclusion across the banking and financial services sector. His appointment comes at a time when SACCOs across Kenya are rapidly modernizing their operations and embracing new technologies to better serve their members.

Prior to joining Stima DT Sacco, Mutero served as the General Manager, ICT and Business Innovations at the Kenya National Police DT SACCO, where he led key innovations to streamline service delivery and enhance digital infrastructure. He has also held senior ICT roles at Spire Bank Kenya and Kenya Women Microfinance Bank, playing a pivotal role in advancing their digital and operational capabilities.

Industry peers describe Mutero as a seasoned ICT professional with a deep understanding of the intersection between technology and inclusive finance, particularly in emerging markets.

His appointment signals Stima DT Sacco’s commitment to driving operational efficiency and scaling its digital services in line with the evolving needs of its members.
